Daisy Arciniega—Poetry

Immigrants

El Paso

The pass

El Paso

The speed

Él Pasó

He passed

¿Pasó?

Did he pass?

El Puente

The pass

The pass

El Paso

Donde todos se encuentran

Where everyone lives

Él NO Pasó

He didn’t pass

No podía

The pass

Que no tenía

Él Pasó,

No, no pasó.

Daisy Arciniega. Behind The Mask. A non-writer writer who hates to love to write. She is the youngest of three, oldest of two, and sub-parent of one. She’s been published in Do The Write Thing, and still feels a seductive chill at the thought of being an acclaimed author.
