Fawn Douglas is a member of the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe. She also has roots in the Cheyenne, Pawnee and Creek Nations. Fawn has earned a degree in Global Studies from the College of Southern Nevada and is currently working on her BA in Art- Painting and Drawing, graduating this fall. Fawn Douglas is a student at UNLV and proud member of UNLV NASA- Native American Student Association. She continues to pull her cultural heritage into her paintings. Her medium of choice is oil paint but she also works in mixed media, print, pastel, spray paint, acrylic and ceramics. Fawn has murals in various locations in the City of Las Vegas as well as the Paiute Indian Reservation. Fawn is also a proud parent, her daughter is a viola player for the Las Vegas Academy Orchestra. Fawn Douglas has a passion for cultural arts, not only from her heritage, but Indigenous groups of the world. Fawn has recently organized a cultural exchange between local Native American People’s and the Maori from New Zealand. Sharing of culture through dance and other art activities. www.fawnart.org
